Through the Eyes of a Protagonist
One reason I enjoy instructional design is that it’s an opportunity to simulate real world experiences. A lot of what I know about the world, including the empathy I feel for all kinds of human experiences, comes from living through the characters I read about. I love a character who shows bravery, grit, and growth, and when I encounter one I imagine those characteristics rubbing off on me!
My favorite Things
Here’s my top 10: popcorn, Coke Zero, long runs in sixty degree weather, riding with my husband on his motorcycle, roasting marshmallows in the canyon, hiking, Keith Urban, Italian soda, the beach, and contemporary fiction.

Family Time
My curiosity takes me to weird places sometimes…most recently it persuaded me to buy a rental property. I learned about home renovation, project management, and I learned that I can get outside of my comfort zone. I love a challenging project any day of the week.
My family is the driving force behind everything I do. Aren’t they the cutest? Our favorite things to do together are hike, roast marshmallows, and jam on our instruments. I also love that I get to watch my kids do hard things and discover their strength.
